Thai OCR v1.6 Update Log

We’re excited to announce the release of Thai OCR v1.6 — the latest model update now integrated across all relevant Thai ID Card OCR services. This includes Unified ID Card OCR, Single-Point Thai OCR, and other solution product lines. Thai OCR v1.6 delivers significant improvements in recognition accuracy and consistency to better support your document processing needs.

1. Bug Fix: "List Out of Range" Error on Thai ID Card (Front Side)

   • Resolved an issue where the system occasionally returned a "list out of range" error when processing the front side of Thai ID cards.

   • This fix ensures more robust error handling and prevents processing interruptions due to malformed or unexpected input data.

2. Model Update

   • Improved the alignment model for the backside of Thai ID cards.

   • This update enhances layout detection, enabling more precise field positioning during OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and reducing skew-related errors

3. Logic Enhancement: OCR Layout for Backside

   • Optimized the layout logic used when processing the backside of Thai ID cards.

   • Specifically targets and reduces instances of OCR_NO_RESULT errors that occur when the ID number field is not detected properly.

   • Result: Higher OCR success rate and improved data capture quality.
