[11 January 2024] Liveness Detection SDK v3.1.0 Update and Changes

Dear Respected Clients,

We are pleased to announce our release for Liveness Detection (Mobile SDK) - V3.1.0. Within this major release, we have made several significant changes and updates:

New Feature:
- Additional action - eye blink is added into the current 3D Liveness Detection process to block paper attack (Both IOS/Android)
  *The above feature will not be open to all at the very beginning
- The customer is able to capture and store multiple images for audit purposes or other purposes. (IOS only)
  *The default setting is OFF, customers can enable it according to their needs.
- Certificate pinning is implemented for all customers. (IOS only)
  *The default setting is OFF, customers can enable it according to their needs.
- A unique ID called event_ID is created once a user initiates the Liveness Detection process, which is for customer's convenience to track the whole liveness detection process and debug (Both IOS/Android)
Enhancement:
- Anti-spoofing model is upgraded with better performance considering FAR and FRR. (Both IOS/Android)
  - FRR improved by 56.28%
  - FAR improved by 54.72%
- Attack prevention capability is improved to have better protection from the following two types of attacks: (Both IOS/Android)
  - Screen attack
  - Paper attack

*False Acceptance Rate (FAR): The False Acceptance Rate represents the probability of an impostor being incorrectly accepted by liveness detection. A lower FAR indicates a more secure service.

*False Rejection Rate (FRR): The False Rejection Rate represents the probability of a genuine user being incorrectly rejected by liveness detection. A lower FRR implies a higher level of usability, as it indicates a lower chance of genuine users being denied access.
